Frequently Asked Questions
1. Question: If I am injured in an accident, do I need a personal injury lawyer to represent me in my claim?
Answer: In most cases, it is best to have a personal injury lawyer represent you in negotiations with claims adjusters who work for the large insurance companies. These claims adjusters are experienced in handling these types of personal injury claims and you need an attorney with equal or greater experience to represent you in these negotiations.
2. Question: Are chiropractors doctors?
Answer: Although they do not have a doctor of medicine degree, chiropractors do have doctorate of chiropractic degrees. In order to obtain a doctor of chiropractic degree one must, after completing college, complete an additional four year program at an accredited chiropractic college. In order to practice, one must pass a test that is administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Some states even supplement this National Board test, however, all states regulate the practice of chiropractors and each state grants licenses to chiropractors before they can practice in that state.
3. Question: Can physical therapy be beneficial in relieving chronic pain suffered from an accident?
Answer: In many cases, physical therapy is the only type of treatment that can eliminate pain from soft tissue injuries. When surgery is not an option because of the injury and pain medication only offers temporary relief, then physical therapy which is administered by a licensed physical therapist can offer relief from many different types of pain.

Answer: Vocational counselors, or rehabilitation counselors as they are sometimes called, help people deal with the vocational effects of disabilities which may result from injuries from an accident.
